This work is based on known and unknown language. The colours and patterns within these weaved pieces are based on Pakistani vehicle art, hand painted vehicles that carry motifs and messages for the individuals who drive them. Using the languages I have grown up with, English and Urdu. I have intersected Urdu proverbs and converted them into English to bring comfort in not knowing what something means. Language is an important factor in society, not everything is taken as intended and by manipulating the text, it balances out the connection to the artwork for everyone.
