The exhibition ‘Pursuit.’ is a showcase of artist development, seeking to explore the initial thought process behind artists' work. There is always the question of ‘what is the meaning behind this work and why make it?’ when viewing art. 

The art world often overlooks artist research, but through the lens of ‘Pursuit.’ the artist is given the opportunity to unravel their development and artistic practice. This exhibition intends to showcase an artist's work as well as process and voice.  

The Gallery Society’s aim is to create a contemporary student art community within Edinburgh and the University. They provide a platform for Edinburgh students and beyond, to exhibit their work in a professional art environment, bridging the gap between student and professional artistic practice. ‘Pursuit.’ is an opportunity for visitors to witness the works of upcoming and talented artists represented by the society.
