The Gallery Society’s Summer Show is their biggest group show to date. Featuring the work of over 70 Edinburgh-based, student artists, this exhibition includes a variety of painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and performance work . 

The Gallery Society’s aim is to create a contemporary student art community within the University and in Edinburgh. They provide a platform for Edinburgh students and beyond, to showcase their work in a professional art environment, bridging the gap between student and professional artistic practice. The Summer Show is an opportunity for visitors to witness the works of upcoming and talented artists represented by the society.

For this exhibition, they have collaborated with four fantastic Edinburgh-based creative groups: the Hen Collective, HEADACHE magazine, and ‘Third’ ‘Culture’ who have curated sub-sections of the show. All involved have worked extremely hard to curate and run this exhibition, and couldn’t be more proud to show you what they have achieved. This display, which has been thoughtfully selected from their open call in which over 125 applications were submitted, brings to public view the most recent work of the talented young artists in Edinburgh today.
