I have been looking at horses, specifically their bodies and how they can convey emotion and movement when coupled with different colours. I am interested in their complex yet naturally powerful and evocative forms. People have always viewed the horse as beautiful and iconic animals, and it is these preconceived notions that I want to build and expand on, using them to suggest new themes and emotions as well as achieving a sense of movement and freedom with the images in my work.
