Wish You Were Here
I started the 'Wish You Were Here' series when I was in halls in September. Initially a meditation on my own sense of distance from friends during coronavirus, it evolved into a celebration of all the beautiful people I've come to meet at uni, of their presence in my life. Shot distanced on doorsteps over a three-month period, I'd reflect on how I'd come to know them, what makes them so brilliant, and write a small piece relaying my own chronology of moments I associate with them. I also asked sitters to write about their experiences of life now, during COVID. So the series quite organically became a conversation between us all, regardless of distance.
